Microsoft to invest $1.7 billion in Indonesia’s AI infrastructure

Asian markets are highly attractive areas for foreign direct investment, especially in the field of technology and e-commerce.

In the latest news of these investments, Microsoft announced that it is investing $1.7 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure in Indonesia.

The US tech giant said the investment will build on plans to build the company's first data centre region in Indonesia and represents its single largest investment in Southeast Asia's largest economy.

Microsoft said the investment will help achieve its goal of training 2.5 million people across the region in AI skills.
